Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented bartender to join our team for the early shift from 6:00am to 2:00pm, Thursday through Monday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and efficient preparation and serving of beverages, maintaining the cleanliness of the service bar, and completing essential prep work for the day and upcoming shifts. This position requires strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently while ensuring smooth operations during peak hours in the morning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Service Bar Bartender position are as follow:
Bartending (6:00am – 11:00am)
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers, ensuring high-quality drinks and service.
- Adhere to all restaurant and bar standards when preparing drinks, garnishes, and cocktails.
- Monitor customer orders and ensure timely and accurate delivery of drinks.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest needs and questions promptly.
Bar Prep (Post – 11:00am) Approximately
- Take a 30-minute lunch break after the bartending shift ends at 11:00am.
- After lunch, perform bar prep work, including:
- Preparing garnishes for the day and the next day (e.g., cucumber slices, strawberries, lemon curls, orange peels).
- Prepping large quantities of simple syrup (4 gallons) and other necessary mixers.
- Cleaning and refilling juice bottles and syrups (including vanilla syrup).
- Preparing tea and other non-alcoholic ingredients for mocktails and other drinks.
Service Bar Maintenance
- Clean and maintain the service bar area throughout the shift, ensuring it is organized and fully stocked.
- Keep bar tools, glasses, and surfaces sanitized and ready for use.
- Ensure the bar area is presentable and well-maintained throughout the entire shift.
Inventory and Ordering
- Complete daily inventory counts and requisitions, ensuring the bar is stocked with necessary items for the next day.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies are running low, ensuring timely reordering.
- Keep track of product usage and trends to help manage stock efficiently.
General Responsibilities
- Follow all food safety and alcohol service regulations.

Qualifications

- Must be available to work early morning and maintain punctuality.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 30lbs for restocking and bar setup.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid alcohol server’s permit (if required by local laws).
