Duties

• Perform floor cleaning and floor care using various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops to maintain spotless surfaces throughout the hotel.
• Handle cleaning tasks across guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and back-of-house spaces with precision and care.
• Safely operate chemical agents and cleaning equipment in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols to ensure effective sanitation without compromising safety.
• Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment to support housekeeping operations efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by thoroughly cleaning bathrooms, lobbies, stairwells, and other public spaces.
• Support hotel housekeeping management by replenishing supplies, restocking linen carts, and reporting maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest safety during incidents or evacuations while adhering to safety guidelines for chemical handling and custodial work.
• Additional tasks may be assigned at any given time

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hospitality or industrial cleaning environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and chemical handling is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely including vacuums, floor buffers, and other janitorial tools.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and stand for extended periods while maintaining energy and enthusiasm.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guest interactions and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management procedures and hospitality industry standards is a plus.
• Commitment to safety protocols including understanding safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel emergency procedures.
