Responsibilities

• Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to dining areas, adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling protocols.
• Expedite orders by organizing and delivering dishes promptly to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing, to support kitchen operations.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management using clear, professional language to coordinate order flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation procedures.
• Support bussing duties by clearing tables efficiently and resetting dining areas for incoming guests.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy when necessary.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable, especially in roles involving serving, bussing, or expediting.
• Familiarity with food handling, safety procedures, and heavy lifting techniques to ensure safe practices during busy shifts.
• Experience with kitchen operations or culinary settings enhances ability to coordinate effectively between front and back of house.
• Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members and providing excellent guest services.
• Knowledge of hotel or banquet service experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in hospitality settings.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing multiple priorities during high-volume nights.
