What are the responsibilities and job description for the Door Person Sternewirth $15 position at HOTEL EMMA MANAGEMENT LLC?
Basic Function:
The Doorperson’s basic function is to provide the guests with information and support in a professional and gracious manner. The essential hospitality standards must be used at all times: eye contact, smile, speak first, engage in polite conversation, and use the guest's surname.
Primary Responsibilities:
Duties are as follows but not limited to:
- Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide fair and consistent seating of guests.
- Receive and record reservations by phone or in person.
- Maintain waiting list of guests. It is the greeter’s responsibility to know what tables are available, who is covering each section and how to seat guests alternately in each section.
- Accurately handle paperwork.
- Check floor and tables for accuracy and cleanliness.
- Assist in bussing tables as needed.
- Maintain a clean podium. Wipe down menus at the end of each shift and replace if damaged.
- Stock Host/Hostess stand.
- If any orders are "carry-out", package and check-out (if necessary.
- Volunteer hotel information to guests. Must be knowledgeable about other restaurants, shops and locations on property and about current/upcoming events.
- Perform other restaurant and customer service related requests to guests.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year restaurant experience.
- Good food and service knowledge.
- Pleasant personality.
- Excellent communication skills
