THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a rare opening for a seasoned hospitality leader ready to take full command of a limited-service convention hotel in one of the country’s most dynamic hotel markets. Chicago draws meeting planners, corporate travelers, and leisure guests year-round — and this property is positioned to compete at the top of its segment.
You won’t be inheriting a coasting operation. You’ll be stepping into a leadership role where your fingerprints will be on everything — the culture, the financials, the guest experience, and the team. If you’re the kind of GM who gets energy from being on the floor, building relationships, and driving results, this is your stage.
WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT
- Career-defining scope — full P&L ownership of a limited service property in a top-5 U.S. hotel market
- Ownership group that invests in its properties and its people
- A brand with real distribution — loyalty program, national sales channels, and OTA presence working in your favor
- A team that’s ready to be led well — your leadership style will shape what this hotel becomes
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
- Hotel P&L performance — revenue, expense management, and NOI against budget
- Guest experience — brand satisfaction scores and the culture that drives them
- Your leadership team — hiring, developing, and holding department heads accountable
- Revenue strategy — partnering with Sales and the brand on pricing, group mix, and channel management
- Owner relationship — transparent reporting, no surprises, and a track record of delivering on commitments
- Brand compliance — quality audits, training standards, and property presentation
- Community presence — representing the hotel with local business and tourism partners
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
- 5 years of progressive hotel management, including 2 years as a General Manager or equivalent senior role
- Proven P&L ownership experience in a branded, full-service hotel environment
- Track record of hitting or exceeding RevPAR and NOI targets
- Experience leading multi-department teams of 20 or more
- Proficiency with hotel PMS and reporting systems (Opera or comparable)
- Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred:
- Experience with convention or group-focused hotel operations
- Familiarity with the Chicago hotel market or comparable major metro
- CHA or equivalent professional certification
- Radisson, Marriott, Hilton, IHG, or comparable brand experience

GROWTH & CULTURE
We promote from within where we can, and we invest in the development of leaders who deliver. This role has a direct line to regional and multi-property opportunities for a GM who builds a strong track record. We’re not looking for a caretaker — we’re looking for someone who will grow with us.
Our core values aren’t a poster on the wall. They’re the standard we hold ourselves to every day — in how we treat guests, how we develop our teams, and how we make decisions. The right GM will live those values and build a team that does the same.
