Position Summary
The Banquet Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the banquet department, ensuring exceptional event execution, outstanding guest service, and effective coordination between Sales, Food & Beverage, and Event teams. This hands-on leadership role focuses on team development, operational excellence, and delivering memorable event experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day banquet operations, including event execution, staffing, service standards, and guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Sales and Restaurant leadership to ensure seamless event planning, communication, and execution.
- Coordinate staffing and scheduling for banquet servers, bartenders, captains, and event coverage while maintaining labor efficiency.
- Develop and train banquet captains and supervisors to independently manage events, administrative duties, and room set-up operations.
- Ensure proper staffing coverage and operational continuity in the manager’s absence.
- Partner with Sales on high-profile and unique events that enhance the hotel's reputation and market competitiveness.
- Monitor service quality, guest feedback, and event outcomes, implementing improvements to elevate the guest experience.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, service, and event presentation while fostering a positive and engaged team culture.
Qualifications
- Previous banquet, event, or hospitality management experience required.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience developing teams and driving service excellence.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
