What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent (Part-Time) position at Hotel Ballard / Ballard Inn?
Schedule & Hours
- Part-time position
- Primarily Friday- Monday 3pm-11pm
- Occasional on-call shifts for vacation coverage
- Two days per week with team support coverage
- Hours may increase during peak summer months
- Approximately 2 weeks of full-time training required
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide professional, friendly service
- Answer phones and respond to guest emails for both Hotel Ballard and Ballard Inn
- Perform guest check-ins and check-outs using Property Management System
- Maintain coffee and beverage station throughout shift
- Conduct property walks to identify maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping and maintenance teams
- Process payments and reservations accurately
- Provide local recommendations, directions, and guest assistance
- Supply guest amenities and complete assigned side work
- Act as first-level security presence by monitoring guest activity
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year hotel or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Professional, positive, and guest-focused demeanor
- Comfortable using desktop computers and learning new systems
- Ability to follow procedures and complete daily task lists
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $21.50 - $22.00 per hour
