SUMMARY: Attends pickleball, outdoor pool, and tennis check-in’s; assists in promotion, setup, and administration of outdoor recreation programs/events; takes payments for outdoor recreation facilities and keeps shops/ immediate grounds in an orderly fashion.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Inspect pickleball shop, immediate building area, and equipment when needed for upkeep and safety issues taking action to correct any substandard condition. 
  2. Help inspect and oversee events at other outdoor recreation facilities/amenities like archery range, trails, lawn sports, the dog park, and the outdoor pool.
  3. Maintain flexibility in work locations and times.
  4. Conduct check-in procedures and collect all the proper fees.
  5. Help to maintain and police court reservation schedules.
  6. Stay current on POA rules and regulations relative to facility operations and play.
  7. Assist in the sale of merchandise and other equipment.
  8. Use tact and diplomacy in dealing with persons, verbally, electronically, or by telephone.
  9. Monitor and check court conditions for potential problems and communicate with maintenance employees or other leadership.
  10. Assist in promoting and arranging matches for property owners, visitors and guests.
  11. Assist in keeping the buildings, bathrooms and surrounding outside area clean as necessary.
  12. Aids and assists in the development, promotion, and sustainability of the facilities. 
  13. Will be required to assist in other outdoor recreation activities, programs, and events.
  14. Regular attendance is required.
  15. Any other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  16. Deliver outstanding customer service, making every effort to accommodate customer needs.
  17. Ensure the safety of patrons and staff through accident prevention and safety policy, enforcing all facility and recreation location rules and regulations.
  18. Have a thorough knowledge of rules, regulations and operational use regarding POA amenity use.
  19. Maintain safe, clean amenities/facilities at all times.
  20. Report to supervisor any safety materials needed or maintenance concerns.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh School degree; three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend, in English, simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence in English.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent 

 

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
