Thermographer Technician – HOT/SHOT Infrared Inspections (Golden, CO)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a technician to perform infrared inspections on commercial properties and utility power systems. This role involves extensive travel and hands-on work in diverse environments—from helicopters to slaughterhouses.
Ideal Candidate Background:
We welcome applicants with experience in several of the following areas:
- Prior infrared experience is preferred but not required.
- Electrical systems
- HVAC equipment
- Utility power systems
- Building maintenance

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections utilizing a variety of infrared cameras including hand-held, truck/helicopter gimbal-based cameras and drone units
- Safely remove and replace electrical panels and equipment (120/208V and 277/480V systems) including switchgear, while energized
- Adhere strictly to NFPA-70E electrical safety standards
- Travel extensively (up to 50% of the time), with trips lasting between 2–6 weeks
- Maintain professionalism and adaptability in quickly changing environments
- Communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, and subcontractors
- Produce consistent, high-quality inspection reports
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently
- Demonstrate punctuality, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude and technical competence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service orientated
- Ability to remain calm and flexible during frequent changes
- Commitment to safety, quality, and organization
