We bring travelers together in the largest hostel network in the USA, but that’s just the start from local tours and experiences, to experiential learning programs, HI USA strives to bring moments of cultural understanding to our guests and community members. HI USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, member-based organization that reinvests our surpluses back into our hostels and programs so they can have an even greater impact, year after year.

HI NYC is seeking volunteers interested in designing and leading a walking tour of your favorite neighborhood within New York City's five boroughs. Giving guests the opportunity to learn more about New York's rich history and to explore the present.
Our bustling NYC hostel hosts travelers from across the globe! Our activities aim to teach travelers about New York's rich history, the culture of our local communities/neighborhoods, and of the greater United States.
WHY VOLUNTEER WITH HI USA?
HI USA is 501(c)(3) non-profit education association. Our purpose is to "inspire a deeper understanding of people places and cultures for a more tolerant world." As a non-profit, the revenues we receive through overnight stays and memberships is reinvested in mission delivery.
