Group Sales Manager
At the Delta Hotel by Marriott Phoenix-Mesa, we strive to provide Purposeful Service: a perceptive and intuitive staff that knows what guests need and when. The Group Sales Manager reports directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing. This Sales Manager is tasked with driving the property’s business through proactive and reactive sales and marketing efforts to achieve revenue and service goals; assists DOSM in developing and implementing property-wide strategies that deliver products and services designed to successfully grow the property’s market share. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Assist with oversight of all aspects of Hotel Group Sales and Marketing including advertising, website, agency management, and collateral production for the hotel, restaurant, and bar providing strategic revenue management plans for the hotel that include rate development, space utilization policy, demand analysis, and market mix management
• Partner with hotel team to develop and drive marketing strategies to increase group sales
• Develop promotional opportunities to maximize sales revenue through all distribution channels
• Develop and implement sales strategies
• Assist in management of budgets and analysis of overall effectiveness of sales efforts
• Serve as the property sales liaison in the absence of the DOSM with Group Sales, Revenue Management, Event Management, and other hotel departments as necessary
• Developing the marketing program by improving processes from a group perspective
• Evaluate the market and economic trends that may lead to new sales opportunities.
• Provide guidance on PR and promotional opportunities to increase sales
• Review the STAR report and other resources to maintain an awareness of the hotel’s market position
• Facilitate and maintain open lines of communication between employees, management and guests
