Duties
- Lead and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure efficient completion of cleaning tasks across all areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities
- Develop work schedules, assign duties, and monitor team performance to meet operational goals
- Conduct regular inspections to verify cleanliness, sanitation, and safety compliance in accordance with industry standards and regulations
- Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment
- Enforce safety regulations related to industrial cleaning, sanitation practices, and equipment handling to protect staff and guests
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules for events or high-occupancy periods
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with a strong background in commercial or industrial cleaning environments
- Prior supervisory or team management experience within a hospitality or facility management setting
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management practices
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team effectively
- Strong communication skills for managerial interactions and customer service excellence
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing during shifts
- Familiarity with laundry operations and hospitality industry standards is a plus
