Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Pastry Assistant located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Pastry Assistant's daily responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and baking of pastries, monitoring ingredient inventory, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, and collaborating with the pastry team to create beautifully presented and high-quality baked goods. The role also involves supporting new recipe development and ensuring high attention to detail in all preparations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Bakery, Baking, and Cooking techniques
- Knowledge of Hygiene standards and practices
- Strong Creativity skills for developing and presenting innovative pastry products
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Previous experience working in a bakery or restaurant is preferred
- Culinary or pastry training certification is a plus
