Position Summary:
The Regional EMS Recruiter is responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment efforts for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) positions across multiple service areas, ensuring Hospital to Home LLC attracts and hires highly qualified professionals. This role partners closely with operational leaders to identify staffing needs, develop strategic recruitment initiatives, and build strong talent pipelines to support organizational growth. The Regional EMS Recruiter actively sources candidates, conducts interviews, coordinates the hiring process, and ensures compliance with all applicable licensing, certification, and employment requirements. Success in this position requires strong relationship-building skills, knowledge of the EMS profession, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional candidate experience while supporting Hospital to Home LLC's mission of providing compassionate, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate Sourcing: Actively search for potential candidates through job boards, professional networks, healthcare job fairs, and other recruitment channels.
Screening and Interviewing: Conduct initial phone screens and in-person interviews to assess candidates' clinical skills, emergency medical knowledge, ability to work under pressure, and compliance with required certifications (e.g., CPR, ACLS, NREMT).
Candidate Evaluation: Review candidate applications, assess qualifications against job specifications, and evaluate clinical competency through practical assessments when necessary.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with local EMS agencies, medical schools, and professional associations to identify potential candidates.
Compliance Management: Ensure all candidates meet required licensing, certification, and background check standards.
Onboarding Support: Collaborate with hiring managers to facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new Employees.
Travel to Hospital to Home locations will be required.
Required Skills:
Healthcare Background: Strong understanding of pre-hospital emergency medical care, including advanced life support procedures, medication administration, and patient assessment.
Recruitment Experience: Proven track record of successfully recruiting healthcare professionals, particularly paramedics and EMT’s.
Networking Abilities: Excellent communication, marketing, and interpersonal skills to build relationships with potential candidates and referral sources.
Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with state and federal regulations regarding paramedic licensure and certification.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and online recruitment platforms.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in EMS or related field preferred.
3-5 years of recruiting experience required. Preferably in the healthcare setting.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Paramedic/ EMT License Preferred.
1 year or more active EMS experience
Valid driver’s license for more than 3 years and acceptable driving record.
EVOC certification or equivalent preferred.
Strong interpersonal and clinical assessment skills.
Prior experience in EMS, mobile healthcare, or community paramedicine a plus.
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
