JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse at Coastal Manor, Long Term Care whose responsibility is to provide direct nursing activities for residents receiving therapeutic and diagnostic services in the Long Term Care department, in accordance with accreditation standards, federal, state, and local regulations, organizational and departmental policies and procedures and professional standards. Participates in activities that ensure the safe and efficient provision of Nursing care adolescent, adult and geriatric resident populations. Refers unusual clinical problems to the Registered Nurse. Responsible for the supervision of skilled personnel during an assigned shift. The position reports to the Director of Nursing.
Qualifications:Minimum level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of a licensed practical/vocational nursing diploma required.
Formal Training: Clinical competence in nursing required.
Licensure, Certifications & Registration: Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Georgia; BLS certification required.
Work Experience: Basic technical nursing skills. Basic computer skills. Completion of a clinical preceptorship while a student nurse if no work experience yet attained.
