Coordinate, plan and manage services for the Western Reserve Navigator program in order to provide seamless coverage of all patient health care needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Obtain and submit HIS and other mandatory information sets to CMS.
- Enter ICD coding into electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist the clinical software team in database maintenance and training.
- Ensure the integrity of the EMR and identify the adherence to documentation standards through routine chart audits.
- Assist in developing a corrective action plan for noncompliant chart findings.
- Assist in the preparation of medical records for external audit functions.
- Safeguards confidentiality of the medical charts/records and complies with all state and federal laws pertaining to medical records.
- Participate in QAPI and Corporate Compliance Committees as assigned.
SUCCESS CAPABILITIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in health information management, public health or a related field and at least 2 years required (5 years preferred) of professional experience in health information systems, at least 2 of which are related to data quality; or at least 7 years of experience in a clinical, operation or data quality improvement position. RRA preferred.
- Any combination of education, training and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position
- Experience in project management, research and data analysis
- Knowledge of health information systems
- Proficiency with statistical information, spreadsheets and database systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and use of a personal computer
- Knowledge of MS SQL server and file conversion
- Analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal and presentation with both technical and non-technical staff
- Flexibility to work well both independently and in a team environment
- Must be highly detail-oriented, yet able to see the big picture, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to understand many different business processes and perspectives
