What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Homecare position at Hospice of NW Ohio?
This position is Saturday and Sunday 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. Work 24 hours, receive 32 hours of pay & you are eligible for benefits!
Qualification Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing; BSN preferred.
- Currently licensed as an RN through the Ohio Board of Nursing; must be able to obtain a license in the state of Michigan.
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience preferred; previous experience in homecare, and/or hospice experience is preferred.
- Has working experience charting in an EMR system; Netsmart system preferred.
- Possesses clinical expertise related to critical thinking, assessment, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- Possesses the ability to provide basic and skilled nursing care, set priorities of care, and appropriately assess limits of intervention.
- Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members regarding care issues.
- Has the ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrates strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working condition and is insured in accordance with state and agency requirements.
- Must be CPR certified according to the American Heart Association CPR standards.
- Understands the hospice philosophy, principles of death/dying, concepts of pain/symptom management, and adult teaching/learning principles.
