What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN Homecare position at Hospice of NW Ohio?
This is a WEEKEND ONLY benefit eligible position! Work 24 hours & get paid for 32! You will work Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.
Qualification Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing with two (2) years clinical experience; one year (1) in the nursing home environment and/or hospice is preferred.
- Currently licensed as an LPN through the Ohio Board of Nursing; must be able to obtain a license in the state of Michigan.
- Verification of successful completion of a medication course.
- Has working experience charting in an EMR system, Net Smart system preferred.
- Has the ability to work in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members regarding care issues.
- Demonstrates strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working condition and is insured in accordance with state and agency requirements.
- Must be CPR certified according to the American Heart Association CPR standards.
- Understands and is committed to the hospice philosophy.
