Qualification Requirements
- Associates degree in Computer Science or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three years of minimum experience working in Information Technology; strong working experience with Windows operating systems including Windows server 2012 R2, Windows 10, and newer.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Experience with inventory or equipment management preferred.
- Proficiency with Active Directory.
- Experience with virtual environments, VMware ESXi/vSphere preferred
- Experience with following standard helpdesk procedures, policies, and SLAs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer service and problem solving skills, and organizational skills.
- Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively multi-task, pay attention to details, meet deadlines and work independently and within a team.
- Eagerness and willingness to learn and develop as a technical professional.
- Understands and is committed to the hospice philosophy.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Proactively reviews and resolves open helpdesk tickets; uses reports from ticketing system to isolate trends and recommend resolutions.
- Provides support for the hospital portals used to access patient information referrals.
- Develop, maintain, and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
- Utilize specialized software to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
- Support voice services, including the VoIP system, voicemail system.
- Configures PC/Laptop/Netbook/Cellular hardware within the agency.
- Analyzes server configurations, identifies issues and implements strategic solutions.
- Troubleshoots computer, cellular, and peripheral issues and provides hardware replacement, cleaning, or repair as needed.
- Proposes changes to processes/equipment to maximize company efficiency.
- Maintains inventory of agency IT equipment including desktop computers, laptops, iPads, cell phones, etc.
- Creates documentation for IT end-user training.
- Assists in NEO training, prepares new hires to use agency equipment.
- Proposes and manages IT projects to improve agency efficiency and patient fulfillment. Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently.
- Responsible to learn and utilize technology made available by the agency to increase efficiency, communication and performance of duties.
- Attends staff meetings and completes all mandatory training.
- Holds in strictest confidence all patient information and discloses information and data only to persons authorized by Hospice.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
