The Rework Coordinator is responsible for the diagnostic analysis of nonconformances caught internally during the production of corrugated assemblies and initiating the correct course of action based on the nature of the nonconformance. Materials must then be salvaged and/or reworked at the discretion of the incumbent and in the most cost-effective way. This includes dissection of corrugated assemblies as well as the gathering and delivery of all necessary components associated with the rework order. This associate MUST display aptitude in determining how to reintegrate material into production saving the most time, labor, and material.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review rework order and prioritize it based on due date.
- Determine appropriate solution to nonconformance.
- Demonstrated ability to operate power tools and shop equipment (saws, grinding wheels, etc.).
- Prepare nonconformances to re-enter it into the standard production process.
- Return material to stock using appropriate procedure, where applicable.
- Gather necessary components to rework the product and perform corresponding inventory interactions.
- Ability to react to change productively and handle essential tasks as assigned.
- Demonstrated ability to determine most cost-effective way to reintegrate material into production (i.e., scrap, rework, or remake).
- Maintain and check inventory to ensure accurate inventory levels. This will include using a computer to process the material transaction.
- Pull fittings and/or other accessories, as needed, to rework product.
- Properly dispose of materials including sorting remnants back into stock as well as scrapping and/or preparing components for reconditioning.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
- Good basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to calculate cut lengths.
- Must be able to read a tape measure, dial calipers and micrometer.
- Tow motor experience required.
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, squat, twist and kneel.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
