What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trimming Crew Technician position at Horticulture Services?
Job title: Trimming Crew Technician.
Job Details:
- Immediate employment.
- Pay starts at $20.00; a higher rate of pay may be available if you have relevant experience. $1/hr. increase after 90 days and positive review.
- We work Monday-Friday starting at 7:00 am (the length of the day varies based on the weather & job).
- Spring, Summer, and Fall: The typical workweek is 40 hours w/ overtime pay available.
- There is a potential for weekend/holiday work when poor weather shows its face.
- No experience is necessary; you just need to be willing to learn.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Planting annual flowers in the spring.
- Learning how to identify shrubs and how to trim them.
- Operate a powered hedge trimmer.
- Operate a powered backpack blower.
- Operate a ZTR mower with vacuum.
- Perform landscape maintenance duties with other crews in spring and fall.
- Maintain the company’s professional image while performing job duties.
Requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to actively work on feet for the entire day.
- Availability that allows working long days during peak season.
- Anyone interested in driving for us must have a valid driver's license as well as a willingness to complete driver qualification (Pass a DOT physical with a clean drug test).
Job description:
The primary purpose of this position is to improve and maintain the spaces outside townhomes by planting annual flowers, identifying and trimming shrubs, and operating small equipment. While Horticulture Services welcomes relevant experience, extensive knowledge and background are not required for this position.
