Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team.
This position requires a rotating schedule between three apartment communities located in New Holland, Manheim & Marietta.
The ideal maintenance technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining our communities and providing exceptional customer service.
Duties
Apartment Maintenance Technician will:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities.
- Perform repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, appliances and other mechanical systems.
- Drywall repair / installation, Finish Work, Carpentry
- Complete Resident work order requests accurately and efficiently. Document work completed on work order request. Strong record keeping skills necessary
- Provide exceptional customer service to our Residents
- Perform all duties required to ready the apartment home for the next resident
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Requirements
This is not an entry level position - Prior experience in Apartment / Facility Maintenance is required.
- Must be willing to participate in the on-call rotation; Covering evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
- Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and customers.
- Must be a team player with exceptional communication skills and the ability to work closely with Property Managers
- Familiarity with electrical systems and the ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on tenant satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
