JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant
DEPARTMENT: Warehouse-500
FACILITY LOCATION: Keasbey, NJ
REPORTS TO: Suzanne Crovo
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE (Basic purpose of job)
The Senior Accountant works closely with the Controller to handle all accounting operations and prepare and verify financial records of manufacturing sites. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for all areas relating to general ledger, accounting, and financial reporting. They will utilize a hands-on accounting experience and must have an in-depth understanding of GAAP.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements
- Prepare monthly journal entries for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Manage inventory values and reconciliation, standard costing, throughput margin and overhead
- Production variance reporting
- Assist with the region's inventory accounting and product costing functions.
- Conduct financial analysis as assigned during month end close to explain budget variances and trends.
- Adhering to the company’s internal control environment and control processes.
- Prepare supporting schedules for monthly reviews, quarterly reviews, annual budget and year-end audit.
- Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Follow policies and procedures and internal processes for all accounting functions to ensure more efficient and effective organization.
- Liaison with corporate, and operations staff to facilitate completion of assigned responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Self-starter, motivated and positive attitude, with excellent time management and organization skills including the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing accounting experience
- Experience with standard costing, inventory reconciliation, accounts payable, budgeting, planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis
- Good systems/technology exposure
- Good communication skills written and verbal
- Good problem solving/analytical skills
- Familiarity with large ERP systems and SAP preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
