JOB TITLE: Sanitation Team Member
DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: US Beverage Packers (USBP)/Sanitation
FACILITY LOCATION: Keasbey, NJ
REPORTS TO: Plant Sanitation Manager
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE (Basic purpose of job)
The Sanitation team will clean a wide variety of equipment within the plant and maintain high quality of sanitation and over-all cleanliness through-out the plant premises.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience and/or ability required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sweep, scrub, mop, and wash floors and drains in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Prepare and document all cleaning solutions and prep cleaning equipment.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning on fillers and thermal systems.
- Use appropriate PPE when cleaning machinery using chemicals.
- Perform cleaning of surrounding production areas and equipment including totes, carts, tables production lines etc.
- Picking up and recycling cardboard, plastics, etc. generated by the plant during production.
- Bailing different kinds of materials such as cans, bottles, cardboard and plastic.
- Creating bails.
- Using floor scrubbing devices and power washing equipment.
- All other duties, as required or needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and see. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- HSD or equivalent (GED) required.
- Previous experience as a Sanitizer is preferred.
- Ability to operate floor cleaning machine.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Will be exposed to diluted cleaning agents.
