Hatchery Worker
Full Time - Hourly

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package. The base hiring pay for this role is $20.15 per hour.
Job Responsibilities
- Pull hatch in morning
- Able to count 25 poults per corner in box
- Washing and disinfecting hatchers and floor
- Transfer eggs from incubator to hatcher
- Clean floors after transfer and disinfect them
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to abide by strict bio-security guidelines
- Basic math skills
- Ability to grasp and pinch repeatedly with both hands, hand coordination to rotate wrists and manipulate poults with fingers and thumb of both hands
- Be able to work in a moderately dusty environment continuously
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
