Livehaul Mechanic
Full Time - Hourly
Day Shift hours 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, OT as necessary
At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $27.00 - $38.00 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.

- Must be 18 years of age or older
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair Live Haul equipment.
- Move equipment to farms and repair shop.
- Do shop and equipment safety inspections.
- Assist others in shop when needed.
- Maintain and clean shop area.
- Maintain accurate inventory.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Have strong mechanical abilities.
- Have good basic math skills.
- Have above average reading and writing skills.
- Able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Able to work in a cold, wet, humid, hot and/or dusty environment.
- Able to work with heights and in confined spaces.
- Must be able to pass a lung function test to be certified to wear a self-contained breathing apparatus or gas mask which requires no facial hair in areas where the face mask seals against the face.
- Able to be on-call every other week.
- Must possess a current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no restrictions & current DOT medical exam certificate
