Database Admin

Join our team as a Database Administrator and play a crucial role in managing and supporting diverse database platforms. This hybrid role offers a dynamic work environment, combining both on-site and remote work opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support multiple database platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB.
• Perform performance tuning, patching, and database builds to ensure optimal functionality.
• Oversee backup and recovery processes to maintain data integrity and continuity.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation using KornShell and PowerShell.
• Collaborate with internal teams and project stakeholders to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to DBA helpdesk alerts as needed.
  
  
  

Skills

• Proven experience in database administration, specifically with Oracle and SQL Server.
• Strong expertise in performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as KornShell and PowerShell.
• Experience using ServiceNow for managing requests and incidents.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SQLServer Integration Services and reporting services.
• Familiarity with database replication technologies such as mirroring and log shipping.
• Knowledge of Oracle ASM, RAC, and Data Guard technology.
• Experience with machine learning and advanced analytics.
• Understanding of Windows/SQLServer Clustering and AlwaysOn Failover Clusters.
