Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Afternoon HPCP (Homemaker Personal Care Professional to join our team in Tuscarawas County. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to Developmentally Disabled individuals in their homes, ensuring they maintain their independence and quality of life. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being of clients through personalized care.
Duties
As an Afternoon HPCP, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' overall well-being.
- Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring clients' health conditions.
- Assisting with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring clients can attend appointments or engage in community activities.
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensuring a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed.
Experience
Candidates should have:
- Previous experience in personal care or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Flexibility to work afternoons, including weekends if necessary.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but can be obtained upon hiring.
