Duties
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and chopping according to recipes and safety standards
- Assist with meal assembly and food presentation to ensure consistency and quality
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain safety standards in production
- Support the kitchen team during food preparation, cooking, and plating processes
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with sanitation regulations
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
- Adhere to all safety standards in production, including proper knife skills and slicing techniques
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments preferred
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and safe food handling procedures
- Experience working in restaurants or catering environments is highly desirable
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation
