HSA Cedar Rapid is hiring our FOUNDING team of elementary teachers for the 2026-2027 school year.
In partnership with Concept Schools, HSA is a charter public school focused on STEM education that belives in using formative academic and behvior data to drive instruction and establishing meaningful relationships with families and our community.
HSA is authorized by the Iowa State Department of Education and is governed by a board of local educational leaders. HSA's charter allows us to expand enrollment and grade level programming each year, until we reach capacity of about 650 K-12 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging STEM curricula for students
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Build strong relationships with students to support their academic and personal growth
- Collaborate with colleagues at HSACR (and HSA Des Moines and HSA Davenport) to enhance educational programs
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Meet with grade level teams and staff to review data and plan for instruction
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Valid Iowa teaching certification
- Experience in elementary education, preferably in a STEM setting
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship-building
- Commitment to fostering connections within the school community
- Passion for integrating STEM concepts into the curriculum
