POSITION DESCRIPTION
This role goes beyond simply filling positions—they will identify, recruit, develop, and retain talent that strengthens the organization. The Talent Acquisition & Retention Specialist is key to building high-performing teams across our branches, directly supporting improvements in PST retention, quality of hire, and overall branch performance. This role reports to the Director of People and Culture and partners closely with branch managers and operational leaders throughout the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Represents Company in a professional and courteous manner.
· Demonstrates good prioritization of tasks.
· Attracts and selects top talent aligned with organizational goals.
· Onboards, supports, and engages employees to drive strong performance and retention.
· Prioritizes quality of hire by attracting top-tier candidates rather than simply increasing applicant volume.
· Drives retention by ensuring new hires successfully reach key milestones (90, 180, and 365 days).
· Partners with branch managers to support confident, effective hiring decisions.
· Maintains a consistent, professional, and efficient end-to-end hiring process.
· Ensures new employees are set up for success from Day 1 through strong onboarding practices.
· Contributes to improving overall retention and reducing turnover trends.
· Sources and attracts candidates for PST, branch-level roles, and other positions as needed.
· Manages job postings and recruiting platforms (Indeed, referrals, etc.).
· Identifies new and more effective ways to attract quality candidates.
· Builds and maintains a pipeline of potential candidates.
· Reviews applications and conducts initial candidate screenings.
· Partners with branch managers to coordinate and support interviews.
· Helps ensure candidates align with both skill and culture expectations.
· Improves consistency in candidate evaluation.
· Assists in identifying trends related to employee turnover.
· Supports branch managers in improving retention at the local level.
· Gathers feedback from new hires and exiting employees.
· Contributes ideas and solutions to improve employee experience.
· Supports initiatives that strengthen branch-level culture and engagement.
· Reinforces company standards, expectations, and communication practices.
· Assists with recognition and engagement efforts.
· Demonstrates knowledge and use of Company software.
· Assumes responsibility for all reasonable duties as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Outgoing and engaging, with the ability to quickly build relationships across diverse personalities.
· Creative, solution-oriented thinker who brings new ideas to improve recruitment and retention.
· Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Self-starter who works independently and takes ownership of responsibilities.
· 2–5 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR.
· Skilled in interviewing and evaluating candidates.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Experience partnering with hiring managers or operational leaders preferred.
· Experience in high-volume hiring environments is a plus.
· Willingness and ability to travel as needed
