About 3TG Tech
3TG Tech LLC supplies precision components to the medical device industry — PTFE liners, heat shrink tubing, nitinol wire, and platinum-iridium marker bands. Our customers build catheters, leads, and implantable devices. We are a small, hands-on team operating under an ISO 9001 quality management system.
Our products are technical and our buyers are engineers. The marketing challenge here is not writing hype — it is understanding what our components actually do and explaining it clearly to the people who specify them.
The Role
We are looking for a part-time Marketing Associate to create and distribute our digital marketing material, help run our webinars, and prepare us for trade shows. You will work directly with our engineers to learn the products, then turn what you learn into content our customers can use — spec sheets, web copy, email campaigns, LinkedIn posts, slide decks, and booth materials.
This is a good fit for a recent college graduate or a current student in marketing, communications, business, or a technical field who wants real ownership of a small company's marketing and is willing to learn a technical product from the ground up. You do not need medical device experience. You do need curiosity, follow-through, and the ability to ask an engineer good questions.
ResponsibilitiesDigital Marketing Content
- Create and distribute digital marketing material: website copy, product one-pagers, spec sheets, email campaigns, and social media posts (primarily LinkedIn)
- Maintain and update website content and product pages
- Build and maintain a content calendar; publish on a consistent schedule
- Manage the marketing contact list and send campaigns through our email platform
- Organize and maintain the marketing asset library — photos, logos, templates, and product images
- Track basic performance (email opens, site traffic, LinkedIn engagement) and report results to the Chief Technology Officer
Webinars
- Coordinate and support customer-facing webinars end to end: scheduling, registration pages, invitations, reminders, and follow-up
- Prepare presenter slide decks and speaker notes in collaboration with engineering
- Handle live logistics during the webinar (moderating chat, managing Q&A, recording)
- Repurpose recordings and content into clips, summaries, and follow-up emails
Trade Show Preparation
- Prepare materials for trade shows: booth graphics, printed collateral, giveaways, and demo samples
- Manage the pre-show checklist — registration, shipping of booth materials, badge and hotel logistics, and vendor deadlines
- Support pre-show outreach and post-show lead follow-up
- Coordinate with the booth team on setup requirements and material quantities
Working With Engineering
- Meet with engineers to understand our products, their applications, and what makes them different
- Translate technical specifications, drawings, and engineering explanations into clear, accurate, presentable content for customers
- Review all technical content with engineering before publication — accuracy comes before polish
- Build a working glossary and product reference so our messaging stays consistent
Qualifications
Required
- Strong written English and the ability to explain technical ideas simply and accurately
- Proficient with PC tools and Google Workspace — Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides (or equivalent Microsoft Office experience with willingness to work in Google Workspace)
- Comfortable learning new software: email marketing platforms, website content management, webinar tools, and basic design tools such as Canva
- Organized and dependable, able to manage deadlines and deliverables with light supervision
- Willing to ask questions until the technical material is genuinely understood
- Able to be onsite in Maple Grove, MN one to two days per week
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree, or current enrollment in a degree program, in marketing, communications, business, engineering, or a life sciences field
- Coursework, internship, or prior experience in marketing, content creation, or communications
- Familiarity with LinkedIn as a B2B channel
- Basic graphic design or video editing ability (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar)
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot, or similar) or webinar platforms (Zoom Webinars, GoTo, Teams)
- Interest in or exposure to medical devices, manufacturing, or another technical B2B industry
- Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows
Engagement Terms
- Independent contract position; no benefits are provided
- Hourly compensation, paid on a schedule agreed at the start of the engagement
- 10–20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling around class or other commitments
- One to two days per week onsite in Maple Grove, MN; the remainder of the work may be done remotely
- Occasional travel for trade shows may be required; travel expenses are reimbursed
- Contractor is responsible for their own taxes and insurance
- All work product, content, and marketing materials created in this engagement are the property of 3TG Tech LLC

Send your resume, your availability, and one or two writing or content samples to humanresource@3tg-tech.com. A class project, a blog post, a newsletter, or a deck is fine — we care about how clearly you explain something, not where it was published. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
