We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our full-time team. Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods and lifting techniques.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring timely documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
- Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, or those requiring hospice or palliative support.
- Operate medical equipment safely, including Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices, ensuring proper manual handling practices at all times.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control procedures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly within EMR/EHR systems to ensure accurate medical records are maintained for ongoing care.
Skills
- Proven experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring specialized memory or dementia care.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Experience utilizing EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms for medical documentation and patient records management.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient assessment and care planning in medical-surgical or post-acute settings.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices; skilled in manual handling techniques for patient transfer methods.
- Strong caregiver communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate support while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Experience working in hospital environments such as emergency medicine units, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations along with commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
