Summary
We are seeking a casual status Resident Caregiver/Nursing Assistant to join our team at Horizon Health's Harding Place in Pierz, which serves all men. Harding place is located in a country setting with no distractions of city noise. Most residents are independent or need minimal assistance from staff. In this role, you will provide support to our residents by assisting with daily activities and hobbies, such as helping in the garden, playing games and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your contributions will be vital in delivering high-quality care that aligns with our mission of dignity and compassion.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personalized care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living and hobbies, as well as medication administration.
- Monitor and document residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment by performing light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Uphold residents' rights and dignity while delivering care in accordance with established protocols.
Qualifications
- Long-term care experience and personal care background
- Ability to assist with activities of daily living
- Knowledge of resident's rights and senior care practices
- Experience in behavioral health a plus
- Familiarity with assisted living environments
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges
Additional per-hour shift differential for evening and overnight shifts. Per-hour differential for those with a valid CNA, though not required.
