- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Support clients with mobility assistance and transfers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy.
- Assist with memory care strategies for clients experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Utilize first aid techniques when necessary to ensure client safety.
Skills
- Proficient in cooking and meal preparation tailored to dietary needs.
- Strong cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic living space for clients.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Experience in social work or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with home community care practices and senior care protocols.

- Certification in first aid is a plus.
- Experience in memory care techniques for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.

Preferred qualifications for the Personal Care Assistant position include:
- PSS Certificate or able to get PSS Certificate within 9 months and start the class within 2 months of being hired.
- Background in social work or related fields is a plus.
- Prefer one (1) year experience in the care of clients.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Prefer a High School diploma or equivalent.
