Duties
- Provide attentive care to children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, social skills, and emotional development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment aligned with childcare best practices
- Monitor children's behavior and use effective behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions
- Collaborate with families to understand each child's unique needs and preferences, ensuring personalized care plans are followed
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or health concerns
- Support classroom management by maintaining routines, managing supplies, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly valued
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education methodologies
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus
- Classroom experience including behavior management techniques and activity planning
- Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are advantageous
- Familiarity with infant care routines, toddler care practices, and preschool curriculum standards
- Demonstrated ability to engage children through teaching, caregiving, play-based learning, and nurturing interactions
