    SUMMARY:

    The Royal Zone Enrichment Leader, is responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing a diverse range of high quality enrichment and group activities. This involves a high degree of collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure the program meets the needs and interests of middle school age youth and their families. This position is based at North Middle School and requires a proactive and collaborative individual dedicated to fostering positive youth development and community engagement.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills.

    • Oversee the day-to-day operation of all scheduled activities at North Middle School, ensuring a safe, positive, and structured environment. Provide direct leadership and supervision to youth and partners, using positive discipline to mediate conflicts, manage logistics, and respond to immediate program needs.
    • Plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive schedule of daily and weekly enrichment activities. This includes identifying topics, learning objectives, materials for activities spanning academics, arts, recreation, technology, life skills, and field trips.
    • Actively engage middle school age youth in the planning process, incorporating their feedback and interests to ensure relevant and exciting programming. Maintain open and consistent communication with families, providing program updates, managing registration, and addressing inquiries to ensure high participation and satisfaction.
    • Support external enrichment instructors and partners, work as part of the community education team ensuring the necessary resources are available and adherence to the program standards. Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with various community partners to bring unique and specialized resources and opportunities into the program.
    • Follow district safety procedures and guidelines and ensure that safety precautions are taken in all activities. Complete accident reports and all other reports when required or requested.
    • Collect data on program attendance and effectiveness. Conduct post-program evaluations with youth, families, and instructors to assess the impact of the activities and identify areas for improvement in future summer programming
    • Must be available to work Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the duration of the program.
    • Other related duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    Education and Experience:
    • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
    • Applicants must demonstrate experience working with children in a school or camp setting.
    Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
    Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.
    • Driver's License.
    Required Knowledge and Skills
    Required Knowledge:
    • District policies and procedures.
    • Web-based registration systems, analysis of data, and computer software programs.
    • Computer applications related to the work.
    • Most current digital/online communications tools.
    • Correct business English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
    Required Skills:
    • Ability to relate effectively and in a positive and professional manner with adults and children from diverse social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.
    • Knowledge of developmental needs and have a passion for working with youth ages 12-14.
    • Knowledge of current principles and best practices in behavior management skills for youth between the ages of 12-14 years old.

    • Self-Starter.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.

    PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment and stamina to sit for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry up to 20 pounds; vision to read printed materials and computer screens; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
    Work is performed in an office and classroom setting.
    Occasional travel required to locations throughout the district and field trips.

    Camp Dates -06/22/2026- 07/30/2026
    Range: $19.79 - $25.56, per hour: DOE.
