    SUMMARY:
    Coordinates activities and athletic programs related to fine arts/performance, activity, and athletic facilities and operations for events; coordinates daily operations of the arts, activities, and athletics events at Hopkins High School.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills.
    • Coordinates and manages all evening and weekend arts and activities events including concerts, performances and festivals.
    • Manages clubs and organizations at Hopkins High School, including the independent provider programs; coordinates the schedule and operation of intramural activities.
    • Coordinates all laundry operations at Hopkins High School, including buildings and grounds, athletics, and food service.
    • Manages locker rooms and locker distribution process.
    • Coordinates event management needs, including entry fees and ticketing, specific event set up needs, event staff, and intramural activities.
    • Coordinates the events and activities, operations, maintenance, and scheduling associated with arts and activities.
    • Ensures smooth usage of facilities by maintaining clear channels of communication with appropriate building personnel and user groups.
    • Assists in purchasing arts and activities equipment and supplies.
    • Administers and monitors officials and event staff payroll for arts and activities events.
    • Reconciles all deposits; prepares purchase orders and vouchers for invoices.
    • Manages new hire paperwork for fine arts employees.
    • Monitors and coordinates department expenditures; coordinates payroll functions for athletics officials and related staff.
    • Deposits and tracks fund raising activities, including the Champions Fund.
    • Reconciles, deposits, and tracks ticket sales for all ticketed events in the athletics and activities office.
    • Provides information on sports and fine arts programs regarding registration fees and ticketing information; deposits registration fees, along with reconciliation and deposit of all ticketed events; manages internet sales for Theater productions.
    • Provides information to all coaches, teachers, and booster clubs on student activity accounts.
    • Promotes and supports the overall mission of the District by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with public and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Administration, Sports Management, or a closely related field.
    • One (1) year of coaching experience in an educational environment.
    • OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

    Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
    Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.
    • Driver’s license.

    • Federal, state and local laws, ordinances, policies, rules and regulations governing the conduct and safety of athletics and activities in an educational environment.
    • Legal liabilities and responsibilities for athletic and activity program staff.
    • Business and financial procedures.
    • Records management principles and practices.
    • Computer applications related to the work.
    • Correct business English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation.

    PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment and stamina to sit for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry up to 20 pounds; vision to read printed materials and computer screens; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
    Work is performed in an office setting.
    Travel required to locations throughout the District.

    Compensation and Schedule:
    1.0 FTE
    G50 – Nonaffiliated
    Range: $56,633.99 - $70,386.20
    Salary range to be prorated based on start date/FTE.
