Job Summary
The Director of Regional Donor Relations is responsible for leading donor engagement and generating philanthropic support in Montrose and Delta counties through strategic relationship-building, fundraising, and community-based efforts. This role serves as the primary donor-facing representative for HopeWest in the region and is accountable for growing donor relationships, advancing giving, and supporting regional revenue goals.
This position manages a portfolio of donors and prospects, conducts cultivation and solicitation activities, and ensures meaningful stewardship. The Director also leads regional advisory boards and collaborates cross-functionally to execute fundraising events, donor experiences, and volunteer engagement efforts that strengthen community connection and philanthropic outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, events, or relationship-based roles. Experience working with volunteers, boards, or community groups preferred
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid Colorado driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through all stages of the donor journey, including preparing and executing effective gift requests
- Demonstrated success in building relationships and supporting revenue or engagement goals
- Strong relationship-building skills with ability to engage donors and community stakeholders
- Ability to support fundraising efforts and participate in donor engagement strategies
- Experience coordinating events, logistics, or community-based initiatives
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge preferred), Microsoft 365, and event tools
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- $77,688-$84,219 annual salary (exempt)
- Mileage reimbursement for all work related travel (65 cents/mile)
