Hopesource is seeking applicants for a full-time counselor for our men's residential treatment program in Portsmouth. Hopesource is a client-centered treatment center that is committed to delivering high quality substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services in our local community.
Primary responsiblities of this position, include, but are not limited to treatment planning, individual and/or group counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, case management, referral, and drug/alcohol testing. This position reports to Program Director Jamie Colley.
The successful candidate will be able to develop rapport and conduct quality, professional general clinical services for individuals with substance use disorders. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills and applicants must be proficient with a computer and the use of an electronic health record. The counselor must be able to compose accurate and prompt clinical documentation, and conduct oneself in accordance with all applicable ethical codes, regulations, and laws.

This position requires a CDCA certification or LCDC II or higher licensure. Experience in substance use treatment, specifically provision of clinical services, is required. Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable to drive agency vehicles. Must be drug and nicotine free.
