Mentor (Youth Program) – Hope’s Promise Respite

About Hope’s Promise Respite
Hope’s Promise provides supportive, relationship‑centered services for youth with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families. What You’ll Do
As a Mentor, you’ll be paired with one youth and meet consistently to build rapport, model healthy boundaries, and support their goals. You are never expected to “fix” anything — your presence, reliability, and encouragement matter most.
Your responsibilities include:
- Minimum of 30 hours per week
- Meeting with your assigned youth weekly for at home or community‑based activities
- Driving your assigned youth to and from visit activities in your personal vehicle
- Building a safe, supportive, judgment‑free relationship
- Modeling healthy communication and boundaries
- Following the youth’s individualized plan and activity guidelines
- Documenting visits in a simple, structured format
- Communicating with your supervisor about progress, concerns, or wins
- Participating in required training and check‑ins

Requirements
- Must be 18
- Experience in behavioral health, education, youth programs, or caregiving (including personal experience)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background checks
- Willingness to commit to weekly meetings with your assigned youth
- Comfortable using simple digital documentation tools
Schedule & Pay
- Full time, flexible scheduling
- Benefit eligible after 60 days of active employment
- Weekday afternoons/evenings preferred
- Pay: $20/hour
- Additional paid training and support hours included
