Role Description
This is a 180 (4 hours per day split shift)day per year guaranteed positions with extra hours available , on-site role for a School Bus Driver located in Hopedale, MA. The School Bus Driver will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and school-related activities, maintaining a timely schedule, performing pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus, and ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers during transportation. The driver will also assist with maintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle and follow all applicable traffic laws and district policies.
Qualifications
- CDL class B school bus prefered but will train, including operating and maneuvering a school bus safely and efficiently
- Strong Defensive Driving skills, including adapting to road conditions and ensuring passenger safety
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to foster positive interactions with students, parents, and school personnel
- Strong knowledge of traffic regulations and safety procedures
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in challenging situations
- High school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in a similar role preferred
