School Bus Driver

Dee Bus is currently hiring new drivers throughout our 13 school districts. Dee Bus will train you to get your CDL free of charge.

A School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, field trips, and other school-related activities. The driver must ensure student safety, drive responsibly, follow all traffic laws and commercial driver regulations, and maintain a positive and professional environment on the bus.

Key Responsibilities

· Safely operate a school bus along assigned routes and schedules.

· Pick up and drop off students at designated stops.

· Ensure the safety and proper behavior of students during transport.

· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

· Report mechanical issues, accidents, delays, or incidents promptly.

· Maintain accurate route, mileage, and student records as required.

· Follow all state and federal transportation regulations.

· Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the bus.

· Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and supervisors.

Qualifications

· Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements. We will provide free training to help you obtain your CDL

· Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

· Knowledge of traffic laws and school transportation safety procedures.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to remain calm and make safe decisions in stressful situations.

· Previous bus driving experience is a plus, but not required.

Working Conditions

Early morning and afternoon split-shifts

Salary

· Based on experience, qualifications, and district contracts.

· Pay ranges from $30.50 – $32.45

· 27- 30 hours weekly

· Annual and monthly bonuses are available
