Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our behavioral health team. Duties
- Offer empathetic peer support to clients experiencing mental health or substance use issues, fostering trust and engagement
- Conduct crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations and ensure safety for clients and staff
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to motivate clients toward recovery goals and behavioral change
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized recovery plans and provide ongoing mentorship
- Assist clients in navigating social services, community resources, and treatment options related to behavioral health and addiction counseling
Qualifications
- Valid PRS (Peer Recovery Specialist) license is mandatory for this role
