JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Women and Children’s Ministries is a visionary and action-oriented leader responsible for overseeing and enhancing the programs serving the women and children within Hope Ministries. This role ensures the alignment of all programs with the organization’s Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Core Values. The Director will lead and develop a team of dedicated staff while fostering an environment of growth. This role requires a strategic thinker and a self-starter who can manage current operations while identifying and implementing improvements to program effectiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Leadership and Development

  • Oversee the planning, management, and evaluation of all Women and Children’s Ministries programs to ensure alignment with organizational goals and community needs.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly refine training programs for staff to enhance service delivery and foster professional growth.
  • Create and administer new programming initiatives, ensuring they align with best practices and client needs.

Team Supervision and Development

  • Directly or indirectly supervise all Women and Children’s Ministries staff, providing guidance, support, and regular feedback.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and motivated team environment that prioritizes professional development and accountability.
  • Lead regular team meetings to review program performance, address challenges, and celebrate successes.

Operational and Budgetary Oversight

  • Assist in preparing the annual budget and manage all aspects of the Women and Children’s Ministries budget, ensuring compliance with approved parameters.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all information as it relates to Women and Children’s Ministries. Administer systems for program evaluation, ensuring continuous improvement and measurable impact.

Spiritual Leadership and Client Support

  • Participate in the spiritual growth and Christian instruction of those whom Hope Ministries serves. This can include (but is not restricted to) personal mentoring, the sharing of Scripture and Biblical encouragement, and praying with program participants. This may be in a structured setting (i.e., a classroom or chapel), or unstructured, with individual clients as the need arises.

Safety and Communication

  • Promote and enforce safety standards across all Women and Children’s Ministries programs and activities.
  • Maintain availability via a company-provided cell phone to respond promptly to critical needs during and outside regular business hours.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment on priorities and expectations.
  • Actively contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, clients, and visitors. This includes adhering to established safety protocols, promptly reporting any safety concerns or incidents, and supporting organizational efforts to foster a culture of safety and security.

Collaboration and Other Duties

  • Work in a spirit of cooperation and mutual assistance with all other staff members of Hope Ministries and its subsidiaries.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Program Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS

Spiritual

  • Must have a lifestyle that demonstrates moral and ethical adherence to the teachings of the Bible and an expressed desire to minister to those who are poor, needy and homeless.

Educational

  • B.A. degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Services and/or Administration preferred.

Other

  • Demonstrated organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology, including email, Microsoft Office suite, and Mission Tracker with the ability to generate and analyze reports effectively.
  • Reliable transportation to travel across multiple campuses.
