Hope Haven is seeking a Data Systems Manager (Information Strategy & Analytics) to lead the organization’s data integration, reporting, and analytics functions. This position blends technical depth with meaningful mission-driven impact. The ideal candidate will be both a builder and a collaborator—someone who can design robust data systems, manage end-to-end ETL pipelines, and communicate insights in ways that drive understanding and action across diverse teams.
The position centers around five core areas of work:
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain dashboards (Power BI) that deliver both foundational operational metrics and workflow-enabling visualizations, helping teams monitor progress and make data-informed decisions in real time.
- Data Integration & Infrastructure: Manage SQL-based data pipelines and ETL processes connecting multiple platforms (AdvancedMD, Brightwheel, Zanda, etc.). Automate daily extract file loads and transformations into Hope Haven’s production data warehouse, which powers internal CRM systems and organizational dashboards.
- Database Stewardship: Oversee automated backups, restores, and permission management to ensure secure and reliable data systems.
- Workflow & Collaboration: Partner with program and administrative teams to map, optimize, and automate data workflows, ensuring reporting tools directly support day-to-day operations.
- Strategic Enablement: Translate data into actionable insights that guide decision-making and align information systems with Hope Haven’s mission and organizational goals.
Technical Expertise
- Advanced proficiency with SQL/T-SQL, SSMS, and relational database design.
- Strong experience developing and managing ETL processes (preferably SSIS or equivalent).
- Demonstrated skill in building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and data models.
- Experience automating data workflows, backups, and system monitoring.
- Familiarity with data integration across healthcare, education, or human services platforms (e.g., AdvancedMD, Brightwheel, Zanda).
Professional Experience
- 7 years of progressive experience in data management, analytics, or systems integration.
- Proven track record of designing and managing data architectures that support organizational decision-making.
- Experience collaborating across departments and communicating complex information in accessible, actionable ways.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on technical execution.
