With our ongoing expansion, we’re hiring and offering a sign-on bonus!Position Title: HR Administrative AssistantProgram(s) and Location: Administration (Sacramento, CA)Schedule: Full-time non-exempt, 40 hours/week, Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pmPay rate: $20.80 hourly About the Position:The Human Resources Administrative Assistant is responsible for the timely performance of a variety of clerical and data base functions related to the maintenance of employee, volunteer, and intern files. The individual filling this position is expected to develop the comprehensive knowledge and skill level with the Agency’s automated and Human Resources Information System (HRIS) necessary to fully utilize the capabilities of this system. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, copying, and preparing correspondence.Maintain and update employee files, digital records, and HR databases.Assist HR staff with scheduling meetings, coordinating calendars, and preparing HR documents.Assist with onboarding tasks, including preparing new hire packets, collecting required documents, and coordinating orientation sessions.Serve as a point of contact for routine HR inquiries and direct employees to appropriate resources.Help ensure policies, procedures, and documents remain up to date.Support employee engagement activities (recognition programs, events, communications).Support HR with data entry tasks as needed.Ensure the protection and confidentiality of all Protected Health Information (PHI) by following all policies and procedures in the Hope Cooperative HIPAA ManualCreate and maintain Hope Cooperative identification badges. Greeting and helping all visitors, and checking the general mail boxes etc.Assist HR Team members and Corporate Management Team as needed.Other duties and projects as assigned by HR Leadership.Required Skills & Qualifications:High school diploma required.1–2 years of administrative experience ideally in Human Resources or Associate’s degree in HR or related field preferred.Experience working in a fast-paced HR environment.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Possess a valid California Driver’s License and current vehicle insurance. Driving record must meet, and continue to meet, the underwriting standards established by the generalized driving guidelines used by our insurance broker.
