Hope Community Resources, Inc. is a non-profit disabilities service provider based in Anchorage, Alaska. Founded in 1968, our company provides services and supports to people of all ages and abilities who experience an intellectual, developmental, or other disability, traumatic brain injury, or mental health challenge.
The Financial Services Specialist plays a critical role in supporting individuals by managing their financial accounts with accuracy, integrity, and compassion. Acting as a representative payee and financial manager, this position ensures that each person’s funds are received, allocated, and tracked correctly in accordance with federal, state, and agency regulations. In this role, you will manage bank accounts, track transactions, perform monthly reconciliations, and distribute funds to ensure timely payment of recurring expenses. You will also work closely with families, guardians, Hope staff, and external partners such as the Social Security Administration, ensuring transparent communication and responsible stewardship of each person’s financial resources. This is a detail-driven, mission-centered position where your work directly contributes to safety, stability, and improved quality of life for the individuals we support.
This is an Anchorage-based position, scheduled Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., working on-site in our Anchorage office.
Education and Experience
1. Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field; and
2. Four years of experience in banking, accounting, business, tax preparation; or
3. Equivalent combination of related education and/or work experience.
