Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks following established recipes and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Support food running and serving duties to ensure timely delivery of orders to guests
- Handle manual lifting and heavy lifting safely when moving supplies or equipment around the kitchen
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Buss tables and clear dining areas promptly to uphold cleanliness standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when required
- Support banquet and event setups by preparing ingredients and assisting with large-scale food service operations
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure guest satisfaction
- Uphold guest services standards by providing friendly in-person customer service
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key
- Knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and basic cooking techniques
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Familiarity with cleaning routines, bussing, and maintaining hygiene standards in a kitchen setting
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous banquet or hotel experience is a plus but not required
