In This Role You Will:
- Provides comprehensive nursing care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs are met.
- Responsible for administering medications and treatment, and maintaining proper charting for the unit, in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensures that medications are administered timely, and treatments performed
according to physicians’ written or verbal order. Notes adverse reactions and
takes appropriate measures. - Inventories medication supplies and orders medications by telephone from the
pharmacy as needed and is alert to possible pharmacy errors by reading labels. - Makes routine rounds of assigned residents and modifies standard nursing
procedures for care in specific areas. - Conducts initial and ongoing assessments of residents’ health status, documenting observations, and communicating findings to the healthcare team.
- Coordinates and oversees resident care and services, including the delivery of care and services by other qualified health care staff, life enrichment functions, meal service, housekeeping services and all other aspects of care and service within the nursing department.
- Responsible for maintaining a high standard of resident care.
- Responsible for all mandated Hoosier Village, Federal and State annual hours of in-service education.
- Promote and respect the dignity and well-being of each resident and their family and staff.
Shift Details: Full Time Night Shift 7pm- 7am
Who You Are:
- Individual with a diploma from an accredited school of nursing
- Maintains an active license in good standing as defined by the relative State Department of Registration and Education.
- Physically capable, dependable, and prepared to actively engage in hands-on work, including bending, twisting, stretching, repetitive motion, pushing, pulling, and safely lifting or moving up to 75 pounds in support of daily operations
- Eager to learn and grow, with the ability to quickly absorb on-the-job training and apply new skills effectively to meet and exceed performance expectations
